Avenida Guadalupe Association is a non-profit aiding the west-side San Antonio community in job development, housing, and preservation of hispanic culture wanted to invite a few of the city’s most prominent hispanics and thought leaders to their 31st annual 16 de Septiembre Gala (Mexico’s Independence Day). As a non-profit on a budget, they knew they needed something simple and clean that still spoke the kind of elegance you’d expect from a Gala. I designed the invitation suite to be just that and incorporated a bit of cultural history by including the man on the horse - a popular and historic Mexican symbol that abstractly resembles Mexican Independence Day.
